"Never despise meager beginnings"
Everyone's first page is usually nothing too wonderful, very ordinary, maybe even unnoticeable.
But just like the mustard seed, small beginnings can hold so much wonder of their own.

As a ten-year-old, here's where you'd find me: buying one too many journals that I knew I'd never be able to fill, the sheepish culprit of stealing my mom's best ball point pens, writing creative short stories about the imaginary lives of the animals in our woodshed after obsessing over Beatrix Potter, and was pen-pals through snail mail with most of my friends that I saw on a weekly basis. Anything and everything to do with words, paper, pen and ink made me a very happy girl. How amazing to me that those very things still hold on to my heart in special + giddy ways, even 13 years later.
So, long story very short, I began this shop as an outlet to share my creativity + love of the handwritten with others. Because too much creative juice when it isn't shared with others, well, quickly starts spraying in every direction and needs an avenue all it's own.

Coffee staining paper is an art that I discovered after trying out many crafty ideas over the course of my teenage years, and it stuck. Journal making followed soon after, and my latest pursuit of modern calligraphy + hand lettering is now the heart and soul of my shop.

The art of the handwritten is slowly dying, and it is my main purpose here to fan the flames with my love for it, so to keep the spark alive for others.

From a very humble beginning I've come, my journey continues to be a celebration of simplicity + desires to encourage others to search for beauty in the smallest and most unlikely of places.
